We hold the firm belief that we have our own Hollywood of talent right here in the Midwest. A community of writers, directors, cinematographers, and storytellers that have the genius to shoot, execute and develop some of the best content our industry has yet to see.
Stage 18 Chicago is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education, community, office space, resources, and employment opportunities to independent filmmakers, visual artists, and entrepreneurs.

What We Offer
Stage 18 provides its members the option of a 24/7 shared workspace, personal desk, or a private office, all within a collaborative environment. This includes access to conference rooms, meeting spaces, a communal kitchen, and more.
COMMUNITY & EVENTS
With an array of workshops led by industry professionals, key partnerships with other great film groups in Chicago, happy hours, and networking events, we are constantly working to provide our members with opportunities to connect and engage with like-minded professionals.
Stage 18 is housed on the lot of Cinespace Chicago Film Studios.

Between script workshops, table reads, budgeting seminars, guest speakers, and more - we are actively developing programs that are designed exclusively for our members with creative success in mind. Meet Our Team
Angie Gaffney, Co-Founder
As the Co-Founder of Stage 18, Angie is an active and passionate content producer within the Chicago filmmaking and media industry. In addition to Stage 18’s Public Housing Unit, Angie’s producing credits include Signature Move (Official Selection SXSW 2017), Thrill Ride, The Onion’s Tough Season, The Orchard’s The Jamz, and the upcoming feature films by award-winning directors Zack Parker and Jack C. Newell. Previous company credits include The Onion, Anonymous Content, and Escape Artists. Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, Angie also teaches at Columbia College Chicago and the Harold Ramis Film School. She also serves as President of Black Apple Media, a development and production company founded in 2010.
Alexander Pissios, Co-Founder
Alexander Pissios is the Founder/CEO Of Cinespace Chicago Film Studios. Along with his Uncle, Nikoloas Mirkopoulos, Pissios purchased the former Ryerson Inc. complex on the Southwest Side of Chicago, and opened for business in May 2011. Pissios is a born and raised Chicagoan. He is a 1990 graduate of Maine East High School and holds a BA from Northeastern Illinois University. Prior to founding Cinespace Chicago, Alexander was a Chicago real estate developer. Alexander lives with his wife Patricia and four children in Hawthorne Woods. Coming from a large Greek Orthodox family you can always expect Alexander to greet you with open arms. Opa!
